"I contacted Menaka in January 2010 wanting to lose 50 pounds in five months. Menaka gave me tips on how to structure my diet, what kinds of cardio workouts to do in my spare time, how much time I should devote to cardio versus strength training, and what target heart rate I should remain within while exercising. "Menaka is AWESOME. I started sessions with her after 8 weeks of giving birth when none of my non-maternity clothes fit. The thought of wearing maternity clothes longer or buying larger sized clothes was very depressing. By the end of 6 weeks I was able to fit into my skinny jeans and suits for work and felt confident about going back to work. Also, despite of the sleepless nights, I had more energy to play with my daughter.

"When I first started working out with Menaka, I was so overweight and out of shape that I had trouble running for 2 minutes and couldn't even do a single push-up. That was a little over 4 months ago. We've been working out about 3x a week and I'm now not afraid to tackle anything. She really knows how to motivate you to push yourself, and does it safely while keeping you interested with different and creative exercises. I have dropped a few clothing sizes, but more importantly I feel better and have grown so much stronger. I even finished a 5k last month with Menaka running by my side!
